About the Rockland Talbot House

We think the best thing about a Maine “vacation rental bed and breakfast” is that no one has to cook! It really isn’t much of a vacation if you still have to shop, prepare, and cook all of the meals and then worry about the dishes. At the Rockland Talbot House, we aim to pamper. Included in the room rate is something to start and end your day with – we start you off with our daily homemade breakfast and end your day with a slice of homemade pie (with or without ice cream!) In between, you can enjoy over 30 restaurants in Rockland alone from food trucks, to seafood on the water, sandwiches, sit-down restaurants, pubs, etc… There are wonderful restaurants in the area, and we will help you find what you are craving!  And not to worry, we will show you where to leave your dirty dishes, and we will take care of them for you. Experience all the luxury and pampering you deserve at our mid-coast bed and breakfast near Camden, Maine!

Breakfast

The “B&B” part of our Rockland, Maine vacation B&B allows us to be licensed to serve our guests a daily homemade breakfast. If you are an early riser, you can enjoy breakfast beverage service (coffee, tea, or water) available in the guest pantry area in the dining room.

Otherwise, don’t worry about setting an alarm clock – you are on vacation, after all! – so we serve our grab and go breakfast anytime between 8am and 10:00am in the dining room. Feel free to jumpstart your day  or to sleep in!

Our grab and go breakfast includes coffee or tea, yogurt, and a selection of  homemade pastries.  We ask that you please let us know your allergies, or special needs at booking so we can be prepared to accommodate you.

Guest Pantry & Sweets

Stocked 24-Hour Guest Pantry Area and Homemade Evening Sweets

The “vacation rental” part of our B&B vacation rental means that we provide our guests with some kitchen services. Our guest pantry area has a refrigerator that we stock with  ice, and ice cream, and another refrigerator for guests to store their leftovers, wine, or other foods. The pantry has a microwave, assorted dishes, silverware, and glassware.  It is stocked with assorted teas, microwave, coffee, popcorn, and cocoa.

We offer our guests a homemade dessert  (with ice cream of course!) every evening.

Fabulous Common Areas

Whether you are traveling alone, as a couple, or with a group, the Rockland Talbot House offers many comfortable spaces to gather outside of your guest room.

The Grand Parlor is our largest space, featuring 12-foot ceilings and a working fireplace. Comfortable seating and a piano provide a relaxing time.

The Second Floor Library for reading a good book.

The inn offers both a front porch and a side porch and there are chairs on the side lawn between the Rockland Talbot House and the Berry Manor Inn if you want to soak upsome rays amongst the gardens.

Off-Street Parking and Charging Stations

The Rockland Talbot House offers off-street parking for all of our guests.  Maine is generally a very safe state but in today’s world there are issues everywhere and we suggest that you make sure your cars and bikes are locked up at night. We do have video surveillance cameras in the parking area and at all exterior doors.

Guests of the Rockland Talbot House that are travelling with a Tesla or other electric automobile are welcome to charge overnight at the charging station shared with the Berry Manor Inn (directly next door).
